The Opportunity
SMT is recruiting on behalf of a growing global technology business for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead warehouse operations and support the delivery of innovative technology solutions to some of the world's most recognised hospitality and retail brands.
This is a hands on leadership role where you will take ownership of day to day warehouse activities, ensuring products are received, stored and dispatched efficiently while maintaining exceptional inventory accuracy and service standards.
Working closely with Operations, Logistics partners and internal stakeholders, you will be the driving force behind warehouse performance, process improvements and team success.
The Role
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of warehouse operations, managing inventory, leading a team and ensuring all customer requirements are delivered efficiently and accurately.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising daily warehouse operations including goods in, storage and dispatch
Leading and motivating warehouse colleagues to achieve operational targets
Managing inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock audits
Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies
Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments with internal teams and third party logistics providers
Monitoring warehouse performance and implementing process improvements
Producing and analysing operational reports relating to productivity, inventory and shipping accuracy
Maintaining high standards of warehouse organisation, housekeeping and compliance
Resolving warehouse related issues and supporting positive team engagement
Acting as the warehouse subject matter expert and championing best practice across the operation
Communicating effectively with stakeholders across multiple sites and departments
About You
We're looking for a proactive and organised warehouse professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys leading from the front.
You will have:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or Warehouse Manager
- Proven experience managing and developing a warehouse team
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management and inventory control processes
- Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems
- Good Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Excellent organisational and problem solving abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A customer focused approach with high attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise workloads and work independently
- Flexibility to support occasional weekend stock takes
