WELDERS An excellent opportunity for 60 skilled Welders, Pipefitters, and Mechanical Fitters to join a specialist consultancy onsite at Hinckley Point C nuclear power plant. Our client, who provides pipework fabrication, pipework installation, and mechanical engineering services for highly regulated industries throughout the UK, is embarking on a significant project at Hinckley Point C and requires additional resources to meet demands. Initially, you will be required to join another significant project for the client, which is based on the west coast of Scotland, for up to 2 months before deploying to Hinckley Point C. During this project, you will be working on an install & testing for a large processing factory. If you are a skilled welder, pipefitter, or Mechanical Fitter, but you do not have the desire to work at Hinckley Point C, there are several other opportunities for other projects in Scotland. This is a significant opportunity for someone who has maybe not worked on site before or for someone who has but not had the opportunity to join at Hinckley Point C and work within the nuclear sector.
WELDERS Scotland Hourly Rates: Basic: £23.45 – £24.43 Overtime A: – Overtime B:
Interview Process: 1) Initial call with Site Manager to discuss role/experience 2) Weld test post interview
Hinckley Point Basic: £28.29 – £30.58 Overtime A: £39.61 – £42.82 – Overtime B: £50.93 – £55.05 *Overtime A: Monday – Thursday (After 8 hours of Basic Pay) / Friday (After 6 hours) *Overtime B: Saturday (After 4 hours of Basic Pay / All hours on Sundays) Allowances: Weekly Accommodation Allowance – £373.73 Travel Time Allowance (based on location)
Welder – Role: We are currently seeking Welders with proven experience in TIG welding of stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of producing high-quality welds that meet rigorous visual inspection and NDT standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards Work effectively as part of a site-based installation team Always adhere to safety and quality procedures Complete tasks to a high standard within agreed timeframes Assist in the preparation, fitting, and fabrication of pipework as required
Welder – Qualifications & Experience: Level 3 Trade Apprenticeship in Welding or Pipefitting (or equivalent) Valid CCNSG, CSCS, or recognised equivalent safety passport Demonstrated experience with TIG welding in a site-based environment Familiarity with welding procedures and acceptance criteria for NDT and visual inspection Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK
