Hales Group are recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join our client’s busy team in Beccles.
This role involves working on a variety of fabrication tasks including the refurbishment and modification of storage tanks, as well as the fabrication of access platforms and pipework. The successful candidate will be confident working from drawings, using welding and fabrication equipment, and producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Welding & Fabrication experience is essential, a background in flux core would be preferred but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Refurbishing and modifying products
- Fabricating access platforms and pipework
- Performing MMA and Fluxcore welding (experience preferred but not essential)
- Cutting and gouging using oxygen and acetylene
- Setting up and adjusting welding equipment
- Working from technical drawings to produce high-quality work
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced plater welder, time served with a proven track record
- Experienced in MMA and Fluxcore Welding preferred
- Confident setting up and adjusting welding equipment
- Experience cutting and gouging with oxygen and acetylene
- Knowledge of welding equipment and safety standards
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Mechanically and technically minded
- Must be able to work on your own or as part of a team
Location: Beccles
Hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £43,000+ per annum
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 39 hours
Holiday: 22 days + bank holidays
Extras: Regular overtime available, varied and interesting work
