Location: Wakefield (Weld Test – Thursday 2nd July) followed by projects across the UK
Contract: 6-12 Months

Blue Book Rates
- Days: £23.25 per hour
- Nights: £29.41 per hour
- Overtime A: £32.55 per hour
- Overtime B: £41.84 per hour
- Accommodation/Digs Allowance: £50 per day
We are currently recruiting experienced TIG/MMA Welders for a 6-12 month contract with a leading UK Oil & Gas engineering company.
Successful candidates will attend a weld test in Wakefield on Thursday 2nd July, with immediate starts available for those who successfully pass.
This role involves carrying out high-quality TIG and MMA welding on stainless steel and carbon steel pipework and boiler systems on major industrial projects across the UK. As work is site-based, flexibility to travel and work away from home is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out TIG and MMA welding on stainless steel and carbon steel pipework and boiler systems.
- Weld to a high standard on a variety of industrial piping systems.
- Work from engineering drawings, weld procedures and technical specifications.
- Produce high-quality welds that meet industry and client standards.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively as part of a skilled site team.
- Comply with all health, safety and quality procedures on site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG and MMA welding.
- Previous experience welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipework and boiler systems.
- Ability to successfully complete a weld test in Wakefield on Thursday 2nd July.
- Experience within the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Industrial or Heavy Engineering sectors is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures.
- Willingness to travel and work on projects throughout the UK.
- Available for an immediate start following a successful weld test.
