Are you a Welder/Welding Inspector with inspection qualifications, looking for a completely off-the-tools and remote role, within the quality department of an internationally recognised manufacturer?
In this Monday to Friday role, you will be improving quality across the business within the fabrication department. This will involve writing, reviewing and approving procedures, with a bias towards externally supplied fabrications, ensuring compliance with welding, surface preparation, and coating.
This manufacturing company are leaders in their specialist sector, with hundreds of employees worldwide and a turnover of £80 million. They pride themselves on their extremely low turnover of staff due to internal promotions, making this a great opportunity to propel your long-term career.
This role would suit somebody who has qualifications in welding inspection, either a current Inspector or perhaps a Welder/Fabricator looking to step away from the tools and into a primarily desk-based role, looking for a long-term career within a large and profitable manufacturer.
The Role:
- Inspection of customer supplied fabrications
- Reviewing welding, surface preparation, and coating
- Writing, reviewing and approving procedures
- Managing supplier non-conformances, doing root cause analysis
- Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm, 37 hours a week
The Person:
- Welder/Fabricator or Welding Inspector
- Welding inspection qualifications (3.1/3.2 for example)
- Looking for an off-the-tools, remote role
