Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school in the Newport area. This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young learners and making a positive impact within the classroom.
As a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils throughout the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment where all children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide classroom support to pupils within a primary school setting in Newport. • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities and support lesson delivery. • Assist pupils on both an individual and small-group basis to enhance learning outcomes. • Support Welsh-medium learning and encourage the development of pupils' Welsh language skills. • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment. • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development. • Contribute to the overall success and wellbeing of the school community.
Requirements:
• Fluent Welsh speaker with strong communication skills in both Welsh and English. • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable. • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development. • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. • A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to supporting teaching and learning. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel).
