Academics are hiring secondary Welsh teachers to undertake several teaching positions across Cardiff. This is a good opportunity for experienced teachers and NQT's. Due to the demand for secondary Welsh staff, you will be able to see which schools would be a right fit for you. You will be expected to teach pupils the important rules of Welsh writing, reading, vocabulary, and pronunciation. These Welsh Teacher roles are located in English and Welsh schools, and they are due to commence in September 2026. Academics are an agency who specialise in temporary long-term roles which often lead to permanent contracts.

Responsibilities as a Welsh Teacher
- Plan and deliver effective schemes of work.
- Establish relationships with pupils quickly.
- Use regular assessments to monitor pupil progress.
Required Qualifications and Requirements for a Welsh Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Valid DBS (Can be produced through us)
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (Can be produced through us).
Desirable Skills/Attributes for a Welsh Teacher
- Full driving licence and have access to a car
- You in in or near Cardiff.
