We are recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school in Manchester seeking a committed Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September. This role is ideal for a teacher who can build upon children's Early Years experiences and support them through this important transition into Key Stage 1.
The Role
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning. Support pupils as they transition from EYFS into the National Curriculum. Deliver high-quality phonics teaching and early reading interventions. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL. Monitor pupil progress through ongoing assessment and adapt teaching accordingly. Create a positive, well-managed classroom where children feel safe and motivated. Work closely with parents and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for every child. The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Has experience teaching in KS1 (ECTs are encouraged to apply). Has a good understanding of phonics programmes such as Little Wandle or Read Write Inc. Can deliver engaging and inclusive lessons. Has strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills. Is committed to supporting every child's academic and personal development.
