REED / Lancashire Teaching Agency (LTA) are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Preston from September.
This is a long-term position, working 8:30am – 3:25pm, Monday to Friday, supporting within a Year 1 classroom.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils' learning and development, delivering targeted support where required and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning within a Year 1 classroom
- Assist pupils with both individual and group activities
- Work alongside the class teacher to promote pupil progress
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
- KS1 experience is preferred
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
