This calculator gives a basic estimate only. For 2026/27, Statutory Sick Pay is £123.25 per week or 80% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower. SSP is payable from the first full day of sickness absence. This tool does not check employment status, average weekly earnings rules, linked periods of sickness, maximum SSP entitlement, contractual sick pay, occupational sick pay, agency worker rules, payroll rules, tax, National Insurance or special circumstances. This calculator estimates basic UK Statutory Sick Pay using average weekly earnings, qualifying days and the number of sick days entered.
For 2026/27, Statutory Sick Pay is £123.25 per week or 80% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower. The weekly amount is divided by the number of qualifying days per week to estimate a daily rate.
