The Opportunity
A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join its growing property team in Colchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a conveyancer who enjoys managing quality work while being supported by a modern infrastructure designed to minimise administration and maximise time spent advising clients. You'll also play an active role in supporting junior team members and helping drive best practice across the department.
The Role
You'll manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- New build transactions
- Transfers of equity
- Remortgages
- Shared ownership and other technical property matters
- Complex residential conveyancing transactions
You'll work closely with specialist support teams responsible for quotations, post-completion matters and administration, allowing you to focus on providing excellent legal advice and client service.
You'll also have the opportunity to:
- Mentor and support junior members of the team
- Contribute to continuous improvement and efficient ways of working
- Assist with file reviews and maintaining high technical standards
- Help shape the future growth of the department
About You
You'll be:
- A qualified Solicitor with solid residential conveyancing experience
- Confident managing your own caseload from instruction through to completion
- Comfortable dealing with both straightforward and more complex transactions
- Interested in developing junior colleagues and sharing technical knowledge
- Commercially aware with a collaborative approach
- Enthusiastic about embracing legal technology and modern working practices
