Head of Legal Practice – Estate Administration | Flexible | Exceptional Salary – Hastings Area
This is a rare opportunity for a Head of Legal Practice to take the lead in estate administration within a thriving and fast-growing environment. With a significant volume of work already in place, this Head of Legal Practice role offers immediate responsibility, influence at board level, and genuine long-term progression.
- Lead and oversee all estate administration activity
- Take ownership of a personal caseload from instruction through to completion
- Supervise and support junior team members, ensuring compliance and best practice
- Sit on the management board alongside senior leadership
- Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and case management systems
- Liaise with third parties, including asset holders and HMRC
- Manage inheritance tax and full estate administration processes
This is a role focused on delivery and leadership – no business development required, just high-quality work ready to be managed.
The ideal Head of Legal Practice will bring strong technical expertise alongside proven supervisory experience.
- Qualified under CLC, SRA, or CILEX (Probate & Estate Administration)
- At least eighteen months' experience supervising and supporting junior team members
- Strong background in estate administration and private client work
- Confident in driving compliance, policies, and procedures
- A self-starter with the ability to take ownership and lead from the front
