LHH is delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Employment Law & HR Consultant.
This is an excellent opportunity for a HR or Employment Law professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships, providing expert advice, and delivering commercially focused HR solutions. You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor on a broad range of employment law and employee relations matters.
The Role
As an Employment Law & HR Consultant, you'll work closely with a portfolio of valued clients, taking the time to understand their businesses and providing tailored HR and employment law advice that helps them achieve their objectives while managing risk.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. Alongside delivering high-quality consultancy, you'll support business development activities and help strengthen long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own portfolio of clients, building trusted, long-lasting relationships.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on employment law and complex employee relations issues.
- Deliver tailored HR consultancy and training services to meet individual client needs.
- Ensure all advice is technically accurate, commercially focused and clearly communicated.
- Support new business opportunities through networking, referrals and prospect meetings.
- Manage client retention and renewal discussions.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and consultancy work.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and, where appropriate, external legal professionals and regulatory bodies.
About You
We're looking for an experienced HR or Employment Law professional who enjoys advising clients and solving complex people challenges.
You'll ideally have:
- Significant experience in employment law, employee relations or HR consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice.
- Experience advising on complex employee relations cases.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service.
