Your Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a KS2/Year 7 Teacher to play a key role in delivering an innovative, topic-based teaching model at Aurora Beeches. This approach blends the best elements of both primary and secondary education, supporting a smooth and nurturing transition for pupils as they begin their secondary learning journey.
This forward-thinking role is central to shaping a curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our learners, helping them to build confidence, independence, and engagement during this important stage of their education.
We are seeking an exceptional and adaptable teacher with experience across KS2 and KS3 who can work collaboratively with Subject Leads to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum. This will include teaching English, Maths, Humanities, and Personal Development to Year 7 pupils through an integrated and engaging approach.
The successful candidate will be passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, using creative teaching strategies to inspire pupils and support both their academic progress and personal development.

Successful candidate qualities:
Essential:
- PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
- KS2 and KS3 teaching experience.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a college environment, ideally in specialist education.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Good teaching and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective skills in planning, preparation, recording and reviewing students' progress.
- Good IT skills and understand of how IT can be used to support learning.
- Ability to remain calm and reflective when working in a challenging environment.
- Proven ability to work on own initiative, be well organised, prioritise effectively and achieve results against deadlines.
- Ability to engage students in positive enabling relationships.
